Component
TerminusChoice
Three choices produce three genuinely different readings of the same label. The selected position is extracted from every word, so the displayed content changes rather than merely changing its decoration.
Possible use
It could let a reviewer choose whether a handoff sentence should be represented by its beginnings, centers or endings, or let a presenter make an agenda line confess one arbitrary letter from each word. The choice creates information loss without a policy behind it.
Reasonable alternative
A reasonable local alternative is keeping the readable label and deriving one summary explicitly where it is needed. A three-way tribunal is a poor substitute for naming the desired extraction rule.

Prepare the remarkably ordinary handoff
The whole phrase is still on trial.- 1
- Start with the complete phrase.
- 2
- Choose first, middle or last letters; the actual reading changes.
- 3
- Restore the whole phrase when the extraction has gone far enough.
